13. Does listening to popular music and watching music videos with explicit sexual lyrics and actions increase the likelihood that teenagers will become sexually active? Why or why not?

In my opinion, being influenced by music or videos with explicit lyrics and actions and become sexually active depends on the person. It depends on how the music/video is interpreted by them. Even if the video is for educational purposes or something in a positive way, if the viewer or listener's perception about it is on the other way around, then the true message of video or music is not seen. It depends also on how and where the person is brought up and how much knowledge he/she has regarding the matter that might trigger his/her hormones. Being exposed to those kind of entertainment material may boost up ones curiosity if his/her knowledge s inadequate and those who has been more educated will be less likely to be interested or something because somehow they understand the meaning of the video and/or consequences of their actions. There are also times that even if they are "innocent" to those kind of things, they don't become sexually active for the reason that those kind of things are simply not their interest. They just simply don't react to it or don't care about those kind of matters. To conclude this, entertainment materials can really influence ones their sexual attitude on a positive or negative way but it all depends on ones own perception and interest to those materials.
