11) Is there still a double standard regarding sexual activitiy of boys versus girls? Do teenagers still talk in terms of "Nice girls" versus "malandi girls"? Why is there no male counterpart to a "malandi"?

Double standards between the sexual activities of boys and girls still exists. For one, men have been given more sexual freedom than women. Traditionally, men and women have been subjected to different "rules" guiding sexual behavior. Women were stigmatized for engaging in any sexual activity outside of heterosexual marriage, whereas for men such behavior was expected and rewarded. Boys had to "sow their wild oats," but girls were warned that a future husband "won't buy the cow if he can get the milk for free" (Crawford & Unger, 2000). Women were faced with a Madonna-whore dichotomy: They were either pure and virginal or promiscuous and easy. Double standards regarding the sexual activities of boys vs. girls is highly subjective, don't you think?

Yes. Teenagers still talk in terms of "nice girls" and "malandi girls" But what I notice nowadays, some of the "malandi girls" are the more reserved type. Those "nice girls", they always take you by surprise, the are the ones you expect the least to engage in this activity, but in tagalog, "NASA LOOB ANG KULO." There are those people that are just really expressive, more vulgar on their choice of words but they are the ones who are more careful. For me, there isn't such a thing as a male counterpart of "malandi."

I would jus like your comments on this.. tnx..
